First of all, a little bit of history behind the Fuh-Q-Fests and how the first one came into being.

In the late spring/early summer of 2000 there was a group of people on the Alt StarTrek Creative Erotica Moderated (ASCEM) newsgroup who got into a tiff. One person, who shall remain nameless (I'm sure she doesn't want to be mentioned in this) insisted that Spock was an asexual being and that he would never get involved sexually with Kirk - or anyone else.

Hafital, a member of the group, suggested that we should start writing stories where Spock got as much sex as he possibly could, just to shut the little troll up.

Laura Jacquez Valentine, bless her heart, joked and said we should call it a Fuh-Q-Fest.

I (kira-nerys) took that idea and ran with it. And thus, on June 23:rd 2000, the first Fuh-Q-Fest was born. It spawned a whole slew of Fuh-Q-Fests that are still popping up here and there and everywhere. Little did we know what this would provoke, but it's fun to see how the whole idea spread and created so much fun for so many of us!

Below follows a list of the Fuh-Q-Fests I know are out there.

• The Spock-Fuh-Q-Fest
  (the one that started it all in June of 2000)
  The festival paired up Spock with anyone conceivable or inconceivable from all four Star Trek series (Enterprise wasn't around back then)
  Stories by Hafital, Jen Chapman, Animasola, kira-nerys and others.
   

• The Kirk/Spock Online Festival of 2000
  The festival challenged authors to write particular scenarios, often clichés, in new, exciting ways.
  Stories by Jenna Hilary Sinclair, JS Cavalcante, Menolly, Vanasati and others.
   

• The Kirk/Spock Online Festival of 2002
  Still active!
  The festival challenges authors to write particular scenarios, often clichés, in new, exciting ways.

• Kirk Fuh-Q Fest
  The festival paired up Kirk with anyone conceivable or inconceivable from all four Star Trek series (Enterprise wasn't around back then)
  Stories by Lady Hawk, T'Lin, Moriva and others. 
   

• The Captain's Fuh-q Fest
  Still active.
  Stories by Ainz, Cait N, Saklani, T'Thrill and others.
   

• The Ensign Fuh-Q Fest
  Pavel Chekov and Harry Kim paired up with anyone and everyone.
  Stories by T'Lin, Moriva, Robin Lawrie, Hafital, Anita Kite and others.
   

• Scotty Fuh-Q Fest
  Scotty paired up with anyone and everyone.
  Stories by Miss Sunbeam, Marcee Evans, T'Thrill and others.
   

• Cardassian Choir - The Garak Fuh-Q Fest
  Garak paired up with anyone and everyone.
  Stories by BGM, Karmen Ghia, Invicta, OdoGoddess and others.
   

• Rumairie Fuh-Q Fest
  A fuh-q-fest centered around an ancient Vulcan festival.
  Stories by Cait, Saklani, Saavant and others.
   

• Play Ball! The Sisko and the Dukat Fuh-Q-Fest
  Pair up Sisko and/or Dukat with anyone.
  Stories by Anna Holmgren.
   

• Constable Mine - home of the Odo smut-fest
  Constable Odo with anyone but Colonel Kira.
  Stories by OdoGoddess, Aditi, Saklani and others.
   

• Holo Pursuits - the Reginald Barclay Fuh-Q-Fest
  The stuttering Barclay paired up with anyone you please.
  Stories by J. Juls.
   

• The Femme Fuh-Q Fest
  An archive of over a hundred f/f stories.

• The Mary Sue Fuh-q Fest
  The dreaded Mary Sue gets her turn.

  Stories of course by Melissa who started the Deafiant universe, and then there are two more by Kathy P. and Morticia.
   

• The Vic Fontaine Fuh-Q-Fest
  Doesn't look like it's very active to me.
   

• Piquante
  Fest discontinued and stories taken offline.
   

• Severus Snape Fuh-Q Fest
  Harry Potter universe, the first non-Trek festival to my knowledge. A truckload of authors that are unfamiliar to me, but if you're a HP fan this is probably a nice place to go. SLASH only.
