Submission rules may change at any time, without prior notification, and it is strongly suggested that you re-read them on occasion if you submit stories regularly to the zine. Rules will be posted bi-weekly to the SBS mailinglist.
Side by Side will be released every three months if I get enough submissions to pull it off. And for that I need your participation.
Submissions that are accepted include but are not limited to:
ART, STORIES, POETRY, VIGNETTES, DRABBLES and FILKS. ESSAYS about K/S or how you became a K/S-er. CHALLENGES: Writing challenges you would like to see realized can also be submitted to Side By Side.
RECOMMENDATIONS for stories available in printed fanzines and stories that can be found online. There's a lack of such a source on the internet, and any such recommendations are warmly welcomed. NOTE, for recommendations, please provide information about the fanzine - what zine the storie appears in, which publisher and whether it's still available for purchase) and links to stories online.
Here follows guidelines for submitting your work to Side by Side.
Submissions may be sent to: kira (at) kardasi.com with the subject header "Side by Side Submission". Please specify what it is.
Every contribution must focus on Spock and/or Kirk. No other pairings are allowed, unless the story ends with a K/S relationship.
Submissons do not have to be sexual or romantic in nature, but we do so enjoy the boys in a romantic relationship, so of course such stories are very welcome.
Any rating is fine, and any kind of story within reason.
IMPORTANT! No contribution submitted to Side by Side may be posted elsewhere for 2 months. After that any author/artist is free to post their submission anywhere they see fit.
IMPORTANT! As of the special edition of the SBS (June 2OO2) the Side by Side stories and art will also be posted to the Side-By-Side emailinglist, on the day of publication.
ALL contributions will be posted to the list by the listmom when the Side by Side issue goes online.
STORIES should be spellchecked. Using a beta is good.
STORIES can be submitted in MS Word, Works, HTML, txt or email format.
ART should be submitted in jpg format and a maximum of 200 kb per art piece.

RATING: From G to NC17.
SUMMARY: What's the story about?
DISCLAIMER: Paramount/Viacom, blah blah. No infringement intended, no money being made.
OTHER INFORMATION is voluntary.
