Reasoning: Well, the Luthors are always known as snakes right? Esp. from Jonathon. And we all remember Lex and his swords. (A swift turn, a twitch of the wrist and the epee flew, shreiking as it cut the air. A sickening thud and Clark turned to look at the doorframe. He blinked once as he saw the sword buried 3 inches deep in the antique-style moulding, shaft vibrating slightly. -From the Pilot) So why not twist a blue-eyed snake around one of those swords? Pretty.
