PLANNING
by MeLi
December 2002
“You know, he feels the same way about you,” Chloe said, deciding Clark had been silent for too long. They were in the barn, where she’d spent the last half hour trying to convince Clark that telling Lex how he felt was a good idea.
“How can you be so sure?” Clark asked. He had heard her say those words a million times before, but never with such an air of certainty. It sounded as though she knew for a fact that was the truth rather than having come to her own conclusions after considering the way Lex acted around him – which is what she’d done before. But she and Lex were becoming close friends, so maybe he had told her so. It wasn’t as though Lex had many friends to talk to.
“I ran into him at the Talon yesterday and confronted him. He didn’t deny it and we had a talk. I wasn’t going to say anything, but it seems to be the only way I’ll get you to tell him.” That wasn’t the only thing Lex had said, but she’d promised not to tell anyone, so that was all Clark would get from her. She hoped it was enough for Clark to make up his mind and do it already.
Clark couldn’t believe his ears. “Wow, he… Oh my God!” He then realized Chloe might have told Lex that Clark loved him in order to get the same declaration, and then Lex might have said what he did because he felt compelled, not because he actually felt it, and he would want to end the relationship –
“Clark, stop freaking out!” Clark was snapped out of his thoughts, his expression telling Chloe where his mind had gone. “Come on, if I had told Lex that you love him, would I be here trying to convince you to do it yourself?” she said, a hint of exasperation in her voice. His friend always believed in people’s best; why did his mind have to come up with the worse possible scenarios when things were about him?
“Right. I’m sorry, Chloe, I guess I’m a little nervous,” Clark apologized for his overactive imagination, relieved that she hadn’t told Lex; he wasn’t sure he was ready to do it yet. On the other hand, maybe it would be easier if Lex found out from her rather than him; at least that way he could deny it if Lex seemed –
“Don’t even think it,” she interrupted his thoughts once again as she easily read his face. “I won’t say anything; Lex’ll hear it from your lips. You’re already together, so you know he at least likes you. Telling him you love him is the logical next step. Besides, I have the perfect plan,” she added, a wide grin on her face.
“Should I fear what you’re about to say?” Clark asked, only half joking. Chloe’s expression was a little scary.
“You said you can’t tell him when you’re alone, ‘cause you always get cold feet, right?” she went on as if he hadn’t said a thing. Clark nodded. “Well,” she continued, “you’ll have to do it in public, then.”
Clark was sure he must have must misheard. If he couldn’t say it when he and Lex were alone, how on Earth was he supposed to do it in front of others?
“Your birthday’s next week, and you said Lex offered to throw you a party.”
“We’re meeting tomorrow at the Talon to discuss the details, you and Pete are supposed to be there, too,” Clark said, having forgotten to mention it.
“And you said he would hire a band,” she wouldn’t let him change the subject. He nodded again. “So, what you’ll do is get on stage and sing your declaration. I even found the perfect song,” she finished, retrieving a piece of paper from her bag and handing it to him.
Clark’s eyes widened as he scanned through the lyrics. “You’re joking,” he said. She couldn’t possibly expect him to do this.
“Not at all. You have a great voice, I’ve heard you sing. And it’s a boy-band’s song, so it won’t be difficult to intone.”
She was serious. Clark pondered this for a moment. His parents and friends already knew he liked Lex like more than a friend – even if Chloe and Pete were the only ones who knew they were already sleeping together – so the whole public thing wasn’t that much of a problem. In fact, he’d wanted to come out in public for a while now, and the being in love part wouldn’t add much to everyone’s shock, though it would definitely be one for Lex. But it would be the same of a shock to Lex if he said it in private. The fact that his best friends would be there might make it easier. And they’d all gone to a karaoke bar once, so the singing part he thought he could manage. It actually seemed like a good plan. After a while, Clark agreed.
“Okay. I’ll do it,” he said.
“Great!” Chloe was beaming as she gathered her bag to leave.
“Remember to be at the Talon tomorrow,” Clark said when she was halfway down the stairs. “4 pm”
“I’ll be there,” she called over her shoulder as she left the barn.
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
“Okay then, that just leaves music, food, drinks and clothes,” Lex said as he checked the list he had started writing as they planned Clark’s party. They’d been in the Talon for almost two hours, and all they had decided was that the party would be on Saturday night. Not that he was complaining; he was glad to spend as much time with Clark as he could. He just preferred that time to be spent in bed. This was why they finally decided that Chloe and Pete’s presence was required for the party arrangements to be done.
“Yes, guys, come on, I’m sure Lex has lots to do besides babysitting us,” Pete joked, much more comfortable with Lex now that he’d been when the older man had first gotten to town. After seeing Lex’s constant war against the older Luthor, Pete actually got to like the guy. It helped that he was the only one besides Clark’s parents who he could talk with about Clark’s abilities, though he still shuddered whenever he remembered Jonathan’s reaction when he learned Lex knew about them. All things considered, Jonathan had become much more tolerant in what regarded Lex.
“What do you mean, ‘clothes’?” Clark asked. He could choose what to wear by his own.
“Clothes, Clark. You can’t expect to be wearing flannel and jeans at the party,” Chloe said, rolling her eyes. “Lex can get us all some new clothes for the big event,” she added with a grin.
“Chloe!” Clark admonished with a mock glare. He was used by now at her asking Lex for things. It was a sign of how good friends they had become, and that made him happy.
“It’s not like he can’t afford it,” Pete commented teasingly. He too had become friends with Lex, and it was thing like this that showed it. A year before those same words would have left his mouth, but the tone would have been harsh.
“Well, yeah, but that doesn’t mean she can go asking him to buy her things whenever she feels like it,” Clark said, knowing he could as well shut up for it was a lost cause.
“Pete’s right, Clark,” Lex said, amused by his friends’ conversation. “In fact, I’ve already thought about it, and decided it would be a good idea for all of us to go shopping to Metropolis tomorrow. That is, as long as none of you has any objections.”
At these words, Chloe clamped her hand to Clark’s mouth before he said anything.
“Of course we’ll go!” she said happily, her right hand letting go of Clark as he tugged at it, only to be replaced with her left.
“Yeah, we’ll go. Thanks man,” Pete agreed, laughing at his friends’ behavior. Clark was now tickling Chloe to free himself.
“If you hadn’t jumped and stuck your hand to my mouth, I could have said I agree,” Clark said as he held Chloe down against the floor. “But now I’m not so sure we should be taking you with us,” he told her as he helped her get to her feet.
“He’s got a point,” Pete said as Chloe’s eyes widened in horror. “With the way she acts, I’d be embarrassed to be seen with her in Met.” He laughed at Chloe’s expression, ducking to dodge the smack she aimed at him.
“If you dare to leave me in Smallville, I swear those pics I said no one would see will end up in the cover of Monday’s Torch,” she warned Pete, turning to Clark when she noticed he was twitching with suppressed laughter. “And a nice article quoting the things you said last time you stayed over at my house will accompany them,” she threatened Clark.
Lex laughed at the terrified expressions the boys portrayed. “There’s no way I’m getting in the middle of this,” he said when they turned to him for help, “you got yourselves into it, you get yourselves out.”
“Fine. Chloe, I’m sorry I suggested we left you here,” Clark said, knowing she had won.
“Yeah, and I’m sorry I agreed,” said Pete, never doubting she would go ahead with her threat if they didn’t take her to Metropolis with them. “On second thought, I don’t think I’d wanna go without you; I fear what these two’ll do being away from Smallville. We know for a fact being in public doesn’t prevent them from doing anything when they’re sure they won’t run into anyone they know.” Pete shuddered as he remembered their last shopping trip; Clark and Lex would have been arrested for public indecency hadn’t Lex been Lex Luthor. He didn’t want to face that alone.
Clark and Lex leered at each other as they too reminisced the incident.
“Yeah, guys, not that I mind the PDA’s, but you should have gone into a bathroom or changing room or something,” Chloe said, smiling at the images in her head. She loved seeing them together, her hopes of seeing more than kissing and petting never leaving her.
“Chloe! Do not give them ideas!” Pete wasn’t as fond of those images as she was.
“I think we should put them into practice,” Lex said, aware that although Pete didn’t mind knowing they were sexually active, he could definitely do without the visuals. Lex always enjoyed teasing him.
“Shouldn’t we continue with the party planning?” Pete said, trying to change the subject. “We’ve been here for way over two hours and haven’t decided a thing. Do –”
“That’s not true,” Chloe interjected. “We decided it will be on Saturday night, and we decided we’ll be buying our outfits tomorrow. Considering we still have a whole week before the party, I think we’re doing great.”
Lex knew a week wasn’t too much time when it came to planning a party, but since he had the staff ready to do whatever they decided this afternoon, he chose not to comment.
“A week is not that much time. Why didn’t we do this earlier, again?” Pete asked.
“Clark and I tried to,” Lex answered, “but we kept getting distracted.” He smirked at Clark’s blush. “That’s why we asked for your help.”
“And why we didn’t meet at the mansion,” Chloe added with an evil smile.
“But at this pace we’ll be celebrating my 18th birthday instead of my 17th,”Clark said, fighting his blush as he picked up Lex’s list, trying to keep the others focused. “Okay, we still have to discuss food, drinks and music. Write down what we decided about clothes,” he said as he handed the list back to Lex.
“Ooh, I like you all commanding like this,” Lex said, doing as he was told. “Maybe we could do some role-playing tonight, or perhaps bondage…”
“Lex! Come on, man!” Pete said, trying to take those pictures out of his head.
“Okay, let’s finish with the planning, or you won’t be doing anything else tonight,” Chloe said, for once taking pity on her friend. “About music, you’ll hire a band,” she told Lex after giving Clark a pointed look.
“Okay,” Lex said, writing it down. “Any style in particular?”
“You know Clark’s likes, you can decide yourself,” Chloe said after hearing Clark mumble something incomprehensible.
“About food, something that doesn’t require a translation dictionary to know what it is you’re eating,” Pete said. Lex chuckled at that, but didn’t comment.
“I was thinking maybe pizza?” Clark said.
“Pizza sounds great,” Chloe said, and Pete nodded in agreement.
“Pizza it is,” Lex said. He couldn’t believe how fast this was going, but he wasn’t about to complain, since it’d get him alone with Clark sooner. “Okay, that only leaves drinks. I believe we could have an open bar, with both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, as I’m guessing you’ll want?”
“Do you even have to ask?” Pete asked, not even considering lack of alcohol an option. The other teenagers agreed with him.
“Okay, then that’s it,” Lex said, finishing the list. “Unless you want to design the decorations yourselves, we’re all set for the day,” he said, already putting his pen away, letting them know that wasn’t an option. He would send the list to his assistant as soon as he got home so that he took care of everything.
“I can’t believe it took us two hours to decide we’d be buying the clothes tomorrow and less than fifteen minutes to decide food, drink and music,” Pete said, getting up to leave. “What time are we leaving tomorrow?”
“Be ready at eleven and we’ll pick you up,” Lex answered. “Now, if you’ll excuse us, I have some interesting things in mind that require my and Clark’s presence at the mansion.”
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
“Good morning,” Clark said when Lex stirred. He’d woken a few minutes early and stayed in bed watching Lex sleep.
“Morning,” Lex said sleepily, snuggling closer. He loved waking up next to Clark. “I still can’t believe your parents let you spend the night here,” he murmured as he nuzzled Clark’s neck. “What did you tell them, again?”
“I just asked if I could stay over. Dad got over the whole Lex-is-a-Luthor-and-you-should-stay-away thing when he saw that attitude was taking him nowhere aside from arguing with me, so he said I could stay. Besides, it’s not like they knew what we’d be doing, you know,” Clark said, bending to suck a kiss on Lex’s throat and getting a moan in answer to the attention. Clark leaned back to appreciate the mark he left. Lex didn’t mention Clark should tell his parents about it; he knew he would when he was ready.
“I’m glad; I don’t think I could look them in the eye whenever they mentioned a rope if they did,” Lex mentioned, tilting his head to give Clark better access when he attacked his throat again.
“It’s over ten already,” Lex said, checking the alarm clock on the nightstand. He was used to sleeping in when Clark stayed.“We should take a shower and get going if we intend to pick Chloe and Pete up at eleven.”
“I’ll go get the water running,” Clark said with a final kiss to Lex’s neck. Lex watched his naked lover cross the room toward the bathroom. He never got tired of the beautiful sight that Clark’s bare body made. He didn’t get tired of watching him when he was dressed, either; he just preferred it this way.
“Planning on joining me any time soon?” Clark called from the shower.
“Mmm, I don’t know. You left me pretty spent last night,” Lex said even as he got up and walked to the bathroom.
“That’s just because you’re old,” Clark teased his lover as he joined him, taking the liquid soap and starting to wash him.
“I think it has more to do with your over-eagerness than my age,” Lex said, not that he thought Clark’s eagerness could ever be too much; his body was already responding to Clark’s caresses.
“Oh, I don’t know. I don’t think I’m that much more eager than you are, right now,” Clark purred as he stroked Lex’s cock. He felt his lover shiver and leaned in to kiss him, hiding his smile. “Besides,” he said when they broke for air, “I haven’t heard you complaining about the frequency of our sexual encounters before. At least not about them being too frequent,” he added as an afterthought.
“I don’t think I could ever consider them to be too frequent,” Lex said, mouthing Clark’s earlobe before falling to his knees and nuzzling his lover’s erection. “Why, would you?” He asked, kneeling back as he looked up at Clark, an innocent expression on his face contrasting the evil gleam of his eyes.
“Huh?” Clark’s cock protested the withdrawal of attention as his mind tried to work past the daze that was quickly spreading through it. “Oh, no, absolutely not,” he said, wanting Lex’s mouth back now.
“Ooh, you managed to pronounce a big word. I guess I should try harder to leave you non-verbal again,” Lex said, an evil smile all the warning Clark got before he swallowed him whole.
“Oh, God!” Clark moaned, leaning back against the shower wall as his legs weakened.
Knowing they should be leaving soon, Lex did a quick but nevertheless good job of getting his lover off and, after Clark returned the favor, stepped out of the shower to dry off and get dressed.
Looking at the full-length mirror, Lex stepped closer to examine his neck and smiled at his reflection. He loved it when Clark got possessive enough to mark him. He could have closed all the buttons of his shirt and it still would have shown, but he left the first few open to make sure it wasn’t covered at all. Clark grinned when he saw what his lover was checking in the mirror.
“Now everyone will know you’re taken,” he said as he stepped closer to kiss Lex.
“Mm hmm, because with the way we act when we’re in Metropolis no one would have noticed otherwise,” Lex said, trying to get his breath – and body – back under control after they broke the kiss. It never ceased to amaze him how short his body’s recovery time was when Clark was involved. Not even fifteen minutes had passed since he’d last come and he already was half-hard again. It proved they had just been kidding before, both about him being old and about Clark being over-eager. At least when compared to Lex, Clark’s eagerness wasn’t excessive; and Lex’s own enthusiasm was more comparable to that of a fifteen year old than to that of a man in his twenties.
“Okay, we’re leaving now. We’re late as it is; if we start something, we won’t be leaving the mansion for another two hours, and wouldn’t that piss the guys off,” Clark said, trying to regain his composure.
“I don’t think Chloe would be exactly ‘pissed off’,” Lex said, walking to the bedroom door. “I think she would probably come looking for us with a camera, in case she gets to see something she likes,” he finished with a chuckle.
“We should ask her to come and get us on videotape some time, just to see her reaction,” Clark said, realizing it wasn’t a good idea since she’d probably say yes.
“Why, Clark, I never knew this exhibitionist side of you. You could have mentioned it before, I would have gotten something arranged. And I don’t mean Chloe, it’s the videotaping part I’m referring to,” Lex said, knowing he’d never ask anyone to record them – he would be the only one to ever see Clark naked if he had his way – but cameras could easily be installed in his bedroom, or any other room Clark liked for that matter.
“If there’s no camera-man or whatever involved, I wouldn’t mind getting a tape of us. I’d like to see what we look like,” Clark said, losing the battle against his blush. Lex gaped; he didn’t really expect Clark to embrace the idea.
“It’s done, then,” he said, making a mental note of calling a technician as soon as they returned from Metropolis. “I’ll have cameras installed in the rooms we more frequently use, and then we can choose when to take advantage of them.” Clark never stopped surprising him, and for that Lex was glad; it wouldn’t do to get bored. Not that he thought he’d ever get bored of Clark. He wasn’t ready to say so yet, though; he needed Clark to say it first. Those thoughts were still in his mind as they got in the limo and sped toward the Sullivan home.
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
“About damn time!” Chloe said as she saw the limo approach. She had made Pete come to her house to save time, and they were both standing on the Sullivan driveway waiting for Clark and Lex to pick them up.
“I told you I needn’t have come so early; it was obvious they’d be late,” Pete told his friend as the limo stopped in front of them. It was past eleven thirty, which meant they’d been waiting for half an hour.
“Sorry we’re a little late,” Clark said, opening the door of the limo as soon as it stopped.
“A little?!” Chloe yelled at him, pushing him back inside the car so she could get in. “You call thirty four minutes a little?! You better have a good excuse!”
“Would you believe us if we said we overslept?” Lex asked, knowing there was no way in hell she’d believe him.
“No! The least you can do now is tell me what held you,” she answered, visibly annoyed, but not too annoyed as to not want to hear what they’d been up to.
“We got in the shower –” Lex started, only to be interrupted by Pete.
“No! Thanks man, but we don’t need to hear it,” Pete said, just as Lex expected.
“Speak for yourself,” Chloe said as the limo started going again. “I always like a little smut in the morning. Or should I say noon?” She added with a grin.
“Come on, Chloe! Your obsession with slash is one thing, but wanting to hear how your friends get it on?” said Pete, making a face.
“You never let me have any fun,” she told Pete with a sad expression.
“Tell them what you’ll do today,” Pete changed the subject and Chloe brightened at the comment. “You’ll never guess,” he told Clark and Lex, which made equally intrigued looks appear on their faces.
“I’m getting my tongue pierced!” she squealed excitedly.
“What?!” The same shocked inquiry came from Lex and Clark.
Clark’s “When did you decide this?” coincided Lex’s “Does your father know about this?” The last thing Lex needed was for Gabe Sullivan to come and complain of what his daughter did while under his supervision. Actually, the last thing he needed was for Jonathan Kent to find out about his relationship with Clark and come after him with a shotgun, but he didn’t like to think about that.
“Last night, and yes, I got his permission,” she said, almost glowing with anticipation.
“Then I know just the place,” Lex told her, making her almost jump in her seat.
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
After having lunch in McDonald’s – Clark’s choice, since it was his birthday party for what they’d be shopping – they decided to go get Chloe’s piercing done before doing anything else; they didn’t think they’d be able to stand spending the whole afternoon with her in such an excited state.
After getting out of the limo in front of a small, weird-looking shop named Flesh, Lex told the driver to pick them up in a half hour to continue with their shopping. Clark knew this place; he and Lex had been here to buy some of the most interesting ‘toys’ they had.
“Lex, Clark. It’s good to see you again,” the shop assistant greeted them. Pete gave Clark a stunned look after hearing the man call him by his name like an old acquaintance, while the same produced an amused expression on Chloe’s face.
“You too, Trent,” Lex greeted back. Funny how the guy was called the same as Jane’s brother from MTV’s ‘Daria’ since he looked so much like him, Chloe thought. “These are our friends, Chloe and Pete. Chloe’s here to get her tongue pierced,” Lex explained.
“Is this your first piercing?” Trent asked Chloe, smiling at her.
“Yes,” she said. “But I don’t expect it to be my last,” she added with a grin.
“Great! If you’ll come to the back, we’ll get it done in a second,” he said, leading the way. Chloe followed, leaving her three friends to browse through the store.
“Is there anything you want to get for our own private celebration after the party?” Lex asked Clark after a while as he examined a pair of leather handcuffs.
“Oh, man, do you have to discuss it in front of me?” Pete said, getting as far away from them as possible in the small shop.
“Yeah, Lex, let’s not rub our sex life in the virgin’s face,” Clark teased. “But about what we talked earlier, it’d be nice if you got everything installed before Saturday,” Clark said with a leer. The idea of being videotaped had grown into him during the ride to Metropolis. Besides, he’d like to have the time their having sex turned into making love documented forever, which would be happening right after the party if everything went as he hoped.
“Consider it done,” Lex said, turning to look at some whips. Someday he’d get Clark to use one on him, he thought.
“How did you learn about this place, anyway?” Pete asked Lex, seeing him smiling at the whips and not wanting him to comment on them.
“I met Trent at a club back during my teens. He got me into piercing and I helped him set his own business,” Lex answered slyly.
“You got body-rings?” Pete inquired, a little surprised.
“Some,” Lex said looking at Clark, earning the teen’s first blush since they got into the store. “I don’t wear them all the time, however.”
“What don’t you wear all the time?” Chloe asked as she returned.
“You have it?!” Pete exclaimed as soon as got through the door. Chloe stuck out her tongue as way of response. It was swollen and had a little silver ball in the middle.
“All right!” Pete cheered, walking toward her to get a closer look.
“It’s great, Chloe,” Clark said, grining.
“What doesn’t Lex wear all the time?” she asked again. Not even the excitement of having just had her tongue pierced made her forget she was waiting for an answer.
“My body rings,” Lex answered with a smile.
“You have body rings?” she asked, her eyes widening at the knowledge.
“And plenty of them,” Trent said. “Though I don’t think you’ll want to know where most of them are,” he added with a low laugh.
“Oh, trust me she would. But I don’t, so please spare us that information,” Pete said, shuddering at the images coursing through his mind. “Man, why do I always end up picturing you two naked and getting it on whenever we spend five minutes together?” he asked Clark, who smiled warily but didn’t say anything.
“Okay, if we’re done here, we should get going,” Chloe said, anxious to go get the clothes now that she had her tongue pierced. Chloe tried to pay for the piercing, but Lex didn’t let her – alleging it was part of the outfits he had offered – and gave Trent his credit card. After that was covered, they left, the limo already waiting for them outside the store.
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
“I knew we shouldn’t have let them go in there together,” Pete murmured as a flushed Lex came out of the dressing room, closely followed by an equally flushed Clark, hair tousled and clothes crumpled.
“We’ll take them,” Lex told the assistant, handing him the clothes they had supposedly just tried on.
“I wonder what Lex just did to get Clark to wear leather pants at his party,” Chloe whispered to Pete a little too loudly.
“Chloe! You guys have to stop putting those images in my head!” Pete complained as he gave the clothes he’d chosen to the assistant.
“We’re sorry, Pete,” Lex said, having heard what they had both said, but he didn’t sound sorry at all.
“Yeah, we’ll try to stop,” Clark added.
“I’ll remind you of that in the ride back home,” he said, knowing it would be useless.
“Why Pete, do you mean to say we don’t know how to properly behave around you?” Lex asked, a mock hurt expression on his face.
“I’m not even answering that,” he said, heading for the exit after the assistant gave him his bag. It would be a long ride back to Smallville, he thought as he left the shop.
* + ..· º ~ º · .. + *
The week went by real fast, and before he knew it, Clark was at his party, being pulled toward the stage by a stubborn Chloe. He was about to do it; in a few moments he’d be telling Lex he loved him for the very first time. And he’d be coming out to the whole population of Smallville High as well. Everyone that had ever shared at least a class with Clark was invited, and since no one wanted to miss the party of the year – at Luthor Manor, none the less – everyone was there.
Chloe had to reassure him. She kept saying it would be alright, that Lex felt the same way and that he’d say it after he heard it from Clark. She also told him that Lex had said he was proud of being with him, and that he wanted the whole world to know as soon as the younger man was ready. Pete had been filled in on the plan, and was also encouraging him. He was the one telling him it didn’t matter what the others thought; he should just go ahead and do it. So he followed Chloe on stage, waited for her to get everyone’s attention, and he grabbed the microphone.
“Erm… hi,” Clark started. “First of all, I want to thank all of you for coming to this party.” This was followed by a deafening round of applause and cheering. Apparently, they were glad they were there as well. “And I also want to thank Lex for throwing it, it means a lot to me.” Again, applause. Why couldn’t they just stay quiet? Couldn’t they see how nervous he was?
“Lex is very special to me, and that’s why I want to dedicate him a song,” he said finally. “Chloe helped me find the perfect one,” he smiled at this, “and I beg your forgiveness if you hate Backstreet Boys, but it had to be something I could manage to intone on top of having accurate lyrics.” He motioned for the music to begin, praying everything ended well. Never looking away from Lex, he started singing.
Something about the way you moved
That caught my eye
I really did have to try it, yes
I can't deny it
He couldn’t believe he was actually doing this.
The way your body swayed
As I watched you from behind
That got me so excited
How could I fight it
He wanted to close his eyes to forget he was surrounded by people, but the need
to see Lex’s reactions was greater.
Baby let me be the one to hold you
To give you the things I know you need
You know that we could wait another life time
And we can never find a love just like this
‘Oh, God, I’m going to faint,’ he thought.
If you lay down, lay down beside me
You can get all inside me
And I can get all inside you too
If you lay down, lay down beside me
You can wake up beside me, forever
Forever and ever
Forever and ever, baby
By now he didn’t even notice the other people in the room; it was just him and Lex.
Let's take this chance to get to know each other better
Maybe we will discover that we can be more than lovers
I'll give you what you need
Just come to me and get it
Baby you won't regret it
Were those tears in Lex’s eyes?
No, no, no baby
Baby move a little closer, yeah
I wanna feel your body next to mine
And before this night is over
You will know what it means
To make love until you scream
As soon as those words left his lips, he saw Lex run toward him.
Tonight, (tonight) we'll find
Find just what we've been looking for
Good, good lovin’ and a whole lot more
So hold on (hold on) really tight
Hold me and don't you let go
He didn’t get to sing anything else; Lex was wrapped around him, kissing him for all
he was worth.
Slowly, Clark became aware of his surroundings once more. Everyone was cheering,
cat-calls and exclamations – such as ‘about damn time’ – could be heard over the
applause. Clark was amazed he could hear anything besides the rush of blood in his head.
“I love you,” they said in unison, sharing another kiss; they sealed the meeting of their
hearts with a new meeting of their lips.
The End
