"I don't know. Adrenaline I
guess."
Lex had handled the clean up, made
sure everyone was safe, allowed his father to lie and then he'd finally made it
home. He sat by the fireplace, drinking and reliving the day. It was very late
and he was very drunk.
His mind kept going back to what
Clark had said. While it is true that adrenaline could give you extra strength,
Clark was stronger all the time. Lex knew Clark lied. He was even relatively
sure that he knew why. None of that changed how betrayed he felt every time
Clark lied to him.
Lex wasn't sure why it was more
important for Clark to be truthful with him than anyone else, it just was. He'd
hoped this – friendship – possible future – would be different from any
other relationship he'd had since his mother died.
"Fuck, Clark! I thought this
would be different."
His glass made a loud sound followed
by the tinkling of glass falling to the stones of the hearth. The sound of
footsteps caused Lex to look toward the door.
"Clark, I wasn't expecting you.
It's late."
"I wanted to talk to you."
"I was just going up to bed. Why
don't I give you a call tomorrow?"
"You won't call me."
Lex closed his eyes and dropped his
head forward. "I'm very tired, Clark, probably a backlash from the adrenaline.
Would you please leave?"
Clark looked at Lex slumped on the
sofa, he'd heard Lex's words just before he threw the glass across the room.
Clark had been told for so very long that he had to be 'normal' and had to hide
his abilities.
Now he was here with a man who was
anything but normal. Was there anyone else who would accept him as readily? His
father worried that Lex would exploit him. They'd argued about it when they got
home that day.
"I'm so glad everyone is
safe."
"Clark, it was very foolish of
you to stay in the plant like you did."
"Dad, I couldn't leave Lex alone
in there."
"Luthor is responsible for the
whole thing."
"Lionel is responsible, not
Lex."
"He's a Luthor. If he didn't
know about this you can be sure he did know about something."
"You aren't being fair,
Dad!"
"Fair would be if the Luthors
get what they have coming."
"Jonathan, Lex did risk his life
to get the kids out of there. I can't see Lionel doing that."
"There was something in it for
him. A Luthor never does anything without a pay back."
Clark had been so upset he'd spent
the next several hours in his fortress. Dinner had been a very silent affair as
Clark refused to do more than answer yes or no to all his mother's attempts at
conversation. After dinner he'd hidden out in his fortress once more.
Clark spent a long time thinking
about everything that had happened between Lex and him in the time they'd known
each other. He was clueless about a lot of things but even he was not so blind
that he didn't see the raw need in Lex's eyes. He just wasn't sure if he was
ready to trust that need would keep them together once the novelty wore off.
It was midnight when Clark reached
his decision. It only took a moment for him to reach the manor.
"Lex, I wanted to tell you how
much I appreciated what you did today. You could have been killed. Thank you for
coming for me."
"Clark, I was saving a class of
local high school students."
"You were looking out for me. I
know you came there to save me. Me, Lex, the others were just the icing on the
cake."
"What do you want, Clark?"
"I'll show you mine if you show
me yours."
There was a snort before Lex looked
up at him. "I'm fairly sure you aren't saying what it sounds like you're
saying."
Lex grinned as Clark turned bright
red. "If this goes well, that might be part of what we share."
Lex's face grew serious. "Don't,
just don't." Lex rose unsteadily and started across the room toward the
door.
Clark followed him, ready to catch
him if he began to fall. They reached Lex's bedroom with only a few wobbles. Lex
began to strip off his clothes. Clark's blush reappeared, but he made no move to
leave. Lex bent to pull back the duvet on the bed and lost his balance landing
hard on the mattress.
Clark crossed the room quickly. He
lifted Lex easily and pulled the covers down. He placed Lex on the bed.
"Clark?"
"No more hiding, Lex."
"I probably won't remember this
in the morning."
"I'll remind you."
Lex watched as Clark began to strip.
"You look human."
"How long have you known?"
"Clark, I have a high IQ. Did
you really think I wouldn't put it all together?"
Clark lifted the blanket and crawled
into the bed next to Lex. He pulled Lex into his arms and pressed a soft kiss to
the bald head.
"Clark, I can't sleep with the
lights on."
"Don't you have some James Bond
gadget to turn them off with?"
"Just because I love toys
doesn't mean I think I'm a swinging bachelor from a Rock Hudson movie."
Clark chuckled. He sped over to hit
the light switch and was back before Lex's body had settled on the bed. He
cuddled Lex even closer than before.
"Clark, I really hope this isn't
a dream."
"Just go to sleep, Lex. We'll
talk in the morning."
"I hope you're here in the
morning."
"I will be."
Lex sighed softly and snuggled in
even closer. Clark didn't sleep until he was sure that Lex was asleep. He'd made
up his mind that he wasn't keeping secrets from Lex anymore. He was going to
take a chance. He just hoped his instincts were right. Because no one, not even
Lana had ever affected him the way that the man in his arms did.
Lex woke slowly. The sun coming in
the window told him it was at least nine. His throbbing head told him that he'd
drunk way too much the night before. And the body curled around him told
him that the nice dream he'd been having wasn't completely off base.
He turned carefully, not wanting to
wake whomever it actually was behind him, just in case the warm body belonged to
someone other than Clark. The features that greeted him were indeed those of his
best friend. He searched his memory, wondering if anything more than sleeping
took place.
He could feel Clark's morning wood
against him and figured if he'd bottomed to the boy he'd still feel it.
Cautiously he slipped his fingers down along Clark's crack. No slickness, but
that wasn't definitive, Clark might have cleaned up.
"Lex, what are you doing?"
Lex's head snapped back and he
groaned as the movement sent a sharp pain shooting behind his eyes. Clark's big
hand slipped up his arm and his head was cradled, gently.
"Jerking like that probably
isn't a good idea."
"You think?"
"Sarcasm, that's my Lex."
"Get me some aspirin, coffee,
and a dozen bottles of water."
Clark slid from the bed and pulled on
his jeans. He started across the room when Lex called after him.
"And close the damn
curtains."
Clark just smiled before moving
quickly to do as asked. Lex moaned as the door closed softly behind Clark. He
knew that his friend would return; he'd gone out in nothing but his jeans.
For a minute he wondered what the
staff would think of a teenager wandering around the mansion in just jeans and
nothing else. Well the lynching would stop his headache.
He was almost asleep again when the
door opened. The smell of coffee revived him. Clark set the tray on the bedside
table. He twisted the cap off a bottle of water and stuck a bendy straw in the
top. Then he shook a couple of aspirins out on his hand and held them out to
Lex.
Lex stuck out his tongue. Clark
grinned and placed the tablets on the pink tongue. He held the bottle close and
Lex drained a good portion of the water. He then took a deep breath.
"If you make any comments about
how I should know better, I swear I'll neuter you."
"Now why would you want to do
that? Didn't I do it right last night? I thought you'd want seconds."
Lex squinted up at him. "Tell me
you're joking."
"How do you want your
coffee?"
"Don't change the subject."
The house phone picked that moment to
shrill. Lex slapped his hands over his ears as Clark dived for the phone.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Kent is calling for Mr.
Luthor."
"My dad? Did you tell him that I
was here?"
"He didn't ask, sir. Should I
tell him?"
"I'll talk to him."
Lex looked at Clark, something like
terror showing on his face.
"Hello, Dad. /// No, I stayed
overnight. /// Lex and I needed to talk and we fell asleep by the fireplace. ///
I'll be home soon and I'll do all my chores. /// Yes, Dad. /// No, Dad. /// I'll see you soon."
Clark put down the phone.
"Should I have security standing by?"
"He's not on his way over here.
I'll probably be grounded until next Christmas but we'll work around that."
"What do you mean, Clark?"
"I mean we turned a corner
yesterday. I'm fairly sure that this legend of ours just grew."
"Really? Where's my
coffee?"
Clark smiled as he stirred sugar and
cream into the cup. He waited until Lex sat up and then put the cup in Lex's
hand. Lex sipped his coffee as he watched Clark dress. When the boy was once
more clothed he stepped over to the bed.
"I'll call you later." He
bent and placed a gentle kiss on Lex's lips. With his tongue he licked at the
small scar before he straightened.
"Clark."
"Yes, Lex."
"We didn't do anything last
night, did we?"
"No, but we will soon. When
you're sober and you know the risks you're taking."
"I know the risks, Clark."
"Not all of them. But you will
and then if you still want me…"
"I'll still want you, no matter
what."
Clark gave him an uncertain smile.
"I'll call."
Lex nodded, sipping at the coffee.
Clark gave him a final smile and then slipped from the room. He stopped
downstairs long enough to tell the staff that Lex was hung over. They smiled and
changed the normal schedule for the day to give him peace until he felt better.
His smile couldn't be suppressed as
he ran for home. He didn't even go into the house until after he'd completed his
chores. As he expected he was grounded for a month. But he didn't mind that
much.
Lex spent his day recovering. He
often checked the phone to see if he'd missed a call. When Clark called him
after dinnertime he refused to admit how relieved he was.
"How are you feeling, Lex?"
"Better. Thanks for telling the
staff to give me solitude to recover."
"Least I could do."
"So how long are you
grounded?"
"A month."
"Am I allowed to come by?"
"Bet you thought your days of
asking permission were over."
"Not at all. Just limited. You
didn't answer my question."
"I think it'd be better if you
didn't come around for a while. We can still talk on the phone."
"I can wait, Clark. I have faith
in us."
"So do I, Lex. Nothing can stop
us."
Lex had decided to keep his contact
with Clark to just phone conversations during the month of his punishment. He
figured that would give Jonathan Kent time to cool off. On the first day of
Clark's freedom, Lex roared up outside the school in his newest shiny toy.
Clark's grin put the sun to shame as
he ran up to the car.
"Hey, Lex."
"Did they say okay or do I need
to take you home?"
"I'm yours until lunch time
tomorrow."
Lex suppressed a moan at the images
that invoked. He realized that Clark's friends were watching them.
"I ordered pizza and several new
movies came in today. I'll let you pick which ones we watch. Get in."
Clark waved to his classmates and ran
around to fold his long legs up in the passenger seat of the sports car. Once
they were off the school grounds Clark leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to
Lex's cheek.
"We're really doing this, aren't
we?"
"Doing what, Clark?"
"We're going to have sex,
right?"
"Clark, do you take me for the
kind of man who would seduce a teenage boy?"
"Fuck! I hope so. I'm so hard I
could drill holes."
Lex snorted a laugh and stepped down
harder on the gas.
Lex's hips snapped hard as he rammed
into Clark. The boy was bent over a bale of hay. They hadn't undressed. Both had
just pushed their pants down enough to get to the important bits.
The sound of a truck turning into the
drive caused Clark to bear down on Lex's dick.
"Hurry, Lex! They're home."
Lex pumped violently, too close to
stop and too nervous to come right away. The truck came to a stop and Jonathan
bellowed out Clark's name.
"Coming, Dad."
Lex snorted and snapped his hips
forward harder. Clark tightened as much as he could on Lex's dick and then
sighed as his own gave up his seed to splash between his feet on the barn floor.
Lex whimpered as he finally reached climax, his come filling Clark's tight ass.
A burst of wind ruffled his jacket as
Clark carried them to the fortress as the barn door opened.
"Clark, we need your help down
here. You mother said to invite Lex to lunch."
Clark had yanked up his jeans as soon
as Lex pulled out so he moved over to the edge of the loft. He hoped the flush
would be taken for embarrassment over being yelled at by his dad.
"I'll be down in just a
minute."
"Hurry it up, Lex can get along
without you for a few minutes."
Clark turned to see Lex tucking in
his shirt. He grinned at the puzzled look on Lex's face. Taking a couple of
steps toward him, Clark pulled Lex close and licked his scar.
"Mom's been working on him. I
figure by the time I finish college he might be ready to hear the truth."
Lex slapped Clark's ass. "Get
down there and help them, but don’t get too close."
"Why?"
"You smell like come."
"Leeeeex!"
Lex grinned as Clark turned red. He
kissed him quickly and then nudged him toward the stairs. He watched as Clark
bounced down the steps. He took time to make sure everything was neatly together
and then followed his lover.
Clark was of legal age now and they'd
been lovers for over two years and that just kept getting better. In the fall
they'd both be living in Metropolis. He expected their sex life to get even
better with the freedom they'd have there.
Life was about as close to perfect as
it could get for a meteor mutant and an alien.
The end
