"Trust me Captain, Spock does not want T'Pring."

Kirk looked askance at Stonn. "Why?"

"T'Pring is 'damaged goods.' If Spock knew, custom dictates that he shun her."

"That's great! Tell Spock, he'll shun her, she won't have to marry him and everyone goes home happy."

"It's not that simple," Stonn explained. "If T'Pring were shunned it would bring dishonor upon her house. I do not wish that."

"Then if she's damaged goods, why do you want her?"

"T'Pring is a whore, but I believe she will change once we are wed."

Kirk snorted. Someone was in for a rude awakening.
